Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced, friendly, energetic and creative Assistant Manager to join our team in our Papamoa Charity Shop.  This is a fast-paced 7-day work environment that is supported by paid staff and volunteers. Our Assistant Manager will work closely with our Shop Manager and team to optimise productivity and grow sales of donated goods, which helps us to fund our vital community work. 

The key tasks of the position include: 

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the shop and supporting the Shop Manager
  • Stock management including presentation, merchandising, pricing, and storage
  • Management of volunteers to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Generating appeal and demand of donated goods to increase revenue growth
  • Ensuring legal and organisational requirements are met
  • Enhancing the profile of Waipuna Hospice

The hours are Sunday 9.00am – 4.30pm, Monday and Tuesday 8.00am – 4.30pm

Additional hours may be required from time to time to cover annual leave and sickness.
